THE STATE HERMITAGE, ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA 

 
One of the world's oldest and largest museums, it is a museum of art and culture founded in 1764. It houses 3 millions exhibits (OMFG!) in 6 buildings ranging from prehistoric to modern times.

BRITISH MUSEUM, LONDON 

 
Established back in 1753, it is a museum of human history and culture mainly based on Sir Hans Sloane, a physician and scientist, collection. Here is where the famous Discobolus statue and the marble portrait of Alexander of Great nicely positioned.
